Transport, Parking, and Pickup Locations
|The Club Bus - "Big Blue"|
Trips depart from the club garage at 31 Sandringham Road, Mt Eden. Typically, there is a further pick-up point along the way for your convenience.
Pick-up points and times are advertised with each trip in the trip schedule. Day trips generally depart from the garage at 8:30 am, and rendezvous at the second pick up point at 8:45 am (but watch for variations). See the maps and location descriptions below.
In some circumstances, if you live further along the route taken, you can contact the leader to arrange an alternative pick-up point to join the trip.
When the bus is away on weekend or longer trips, trampers car-pool for day trips. Passengers make a set contribution to the driver to cover expenses.
|Big Blue can carry 39 seated passengers.||Day Trip Passengers|
|Sleeping space for up to 19 people.|
For longer trips away, Big Blue converts to a "sleeper" by folding the seating down.
This makes it a great base of operations for remote tramping.
