Thank you to all those who put in a big effort in February to complete our end of year clean up. We found a lot of bait taken on some tracks so those folks had a light load to carry out!

A huge thanks to Jean for her wonderful dinner, and Vicky for dessert. It was nice to catch up with Duncan and Rhonda who came to visit over dinner time.

After a bad weather forecast, we had a fine day Saturday but raining on Sunday morning to finish the bird tracks.

Wallace and Tony did a rat monitoring count on Sat/Sun and we were pleasantly surprised to find it only 6.7%. A great result after the horrendous start to the season.

We saw and heard kokako around the top end of Wildlife track both Saturday and Sunday, from Owawenga Rd, from the Kauri track area, and also a number of other places. And there were deer sightings too.

We have a considerable list of things needing attention and track clearing to be done at the next weekend, end of July, so please look below and make a note of this year's dates.

July           28 - 30

Sept          1 - 3

Oct            Sept 29 - Oct 1

Nov           3 - 5

Dec           1 - 3

Thanks again everyone and happy tramping if I don't see you on trips.
