Exploring Southern Fiordland

The meeting is being held as usual in the Remuera Bowling Club

Doors open at 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start. Light refreshments are available from 7.00pm.

In August 2019 Tony and Hazel Walton went on a week's boat trip exploring Doubtful Sound, Breaksea Sound, Dusky Sound and Preservation inlet.

There was time on shore to visit numerous sites of historical interest, including Richard Henry's house site on Pigeon Island, Captain Cook's mooring places in Dusky Sound, places where various attempts were made of making a living from the harsh environment, and modern day pest control operations.

Tonight's presentation will be on this trip.
