Medium: Trip starts at west end of Onehunga foreshore, Taumanu Reserve. Take walkways along the foreshore to old Mangere Bridge. Cross bridge and though Mangere Bridge town centre (opportunity to purchase lunch at the market stalls) to Mangere Domain. Explore the extensive summit and craters of Mt Mangere before dropping down to the Watercare Coastal Walkway, continuing on to the foreshore tracks at Ambury Park ( extensive bird life in the area). Back along the south Manukau foreshore past old lava flows to the old bridge then back to start at Taumanu Reserve. Time 4 - 5 hours

Transport: Use public transport or private cars, to meet at the start.
Destination: Taumanu Reserve. This can be reached via Seacliffe Road, where it becomes Orpheus Drive, adjacent to the toilet / changing block.
