Medium: Rangitoto Wharf to Islington Bay on the coastal track, then head up the gentle incline to the summit for fabulous views over the city & islands of the Hauraki gulf. After lunch head down to McKenzie Bay and follow the coast back to Rangitoto Wharf. Don’t forget to see the pretty Kidney Fern Glen near the wharf. to Various shorter walk options are available if preferred. Pick up a DOC map brochure from the ticket office at the Ferry Building. Torch useful for caves. Take all your own food and drink, no rubbish disposal on the island.
Note: Some of these tracks are over broken lava fields and the footing is rough and uneven. Good footwear is essential.

Departure: 9:15 am Ferry Terminal, Downtown. Ferry also calls at Devonport
Fare: $36.00 adult return, $18.00 child
