Check out “Young Isaac’s” blog on his experiences with the vets on their Waikato trip last November.
What would a teenager tramping with people about 4 times his age make of it all ?
Turns out he’s got a great turn of phrase and a wicked sense of humour:
“We began the walk at a staggering pace, knobbly knees and Nordic-walking poles zooming by.”
“The atmosphere of the room was electric, actually. Not the electricity of pacemakers but of a genuinely social, happy group.”
“This is an induction stove - a marvel of kitchen technology. If you stress, the stove stresses. It smells fear.”
