We have received advice from Auckland Council (in the form of an email letter consisting of 5 pdf files) around the planned upgrades to the Pararaha Valley Track from the Les Ward Shelter out to the sea. See the attached files that contain the information, maps, and photos.

There are two issues they are planning to address - increasingly deep water covering some of the boardwalks, and periodic flash floods down the Pararaha Stream.

As a result new, higher boardwalks using recycled plastic or a composiute of recycled plastic and timber will be constructed, also a swing bridge crossing the Pararaha Stream at the usual point.

Possibly happening over the next year.
