The following communication was received recently from Auckland Council Parks Management. (The track work involves bagging and transporting metal, culvert work, and potentially some vegetation clearance).

Recently we held two successful volunteer days on the Mercer Bay Loop Walk at Piha.

The Rangers were very grateful and would appreciate more help as they work on tracks in the area.

We have three dates planned:

•         Day 1: Friday, 21 September 10am – 2pm, Mercer Bay Loop Walk

•         Day 2: Sunday, 7 October 10am – 2pm, location to be confirmed

•         Day 3: Friday, 19 October 10am – 2pm, location to be confirmed

Please note that due to the nature of the work and terrain, a good level of fitness is required for this activity.
