Join us for fun weekends in the Tunawaea area of the NW Pureora Forest. We stay in comfortable farm stay accommodation on Ollivers Farm not far from the baiting area, and have a great social time - often with a shared dinner on the Saturday night. Transport is via car pooling, with different groups typically travelling there on Thursday or Friday (including Friday evening), and returning home on Sunday.

The Tunawaea kokako project has been running for 8 years now, so as you would expect, our visits are usually rewarded by seeing and hearing a great range of birdlife, including hearing and seeing those elusive kokako.

The 2019 season is now underway - at the start of september we loaded all of our 685 bait stations with 500 gram bags of bait pellets. For the next few months we visit all the bait stations topping them up as needed.
