Payment: Please pay in cash on the day if you can – it saves our Club volunteers work. If you forget, don’t worry, we’ll give you the details for an electronic payment.

Return times: Normally 5-7pm, but 6-8pm for trips advertised as “late finish”. However, any trip can be delayed through injury, traffic etc. It’s best not to plan anything for the early evening.

This is an annual feature; Jim offers not only a good walk but tea etc at the end.

We take the Onetangi bus to the stop before the sports park.

Walk up to Rangihoua (Maori Hill), an ancient pa site, follow bush tracks and Tarata Track to Cascade waterfalls for lunch.

Afternoon: Trig Hill and along bush tracks through to Onetangi Beach, to “Chateau Morrow” for afternoon tea. Time for swimming.

Transport: Fullers ferry, Auckland via Devonport

Destination: Terminal on Waiheke where Jim will meet the party.

Departure:  9.00am from Auckland ferry terminal

Return: Buses leave Onetangi 40 minutes prior to ferry sailing, currently every half hour (but check the timetable nearer the time), so no need to hurry away – enjoy!

Note: Only the 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm ferries go via Devonport
