From the end of Schollum Road, follow the walkway through regenerating bush and exotic forest to Rodney Road.
Then pick up the Te Araroa route up and over the summit of Mt Tamahunga through farmland and regenerating native forest with views up and down the coast. Potential side trip to weather satellite station.
Follow Tamahunga Track down to Omaha Valley Road
Time approx. 5-6 hours
Note: This track has some steeper and possibly slippery sections – wear sturdy footwear, and bring walking pole(s) to suit. The track can be very, very muddy.

Stay with the driver, then walk up to meet the other party. Time approx. 3-4 hours.

Departure: 8:00 am Club garage, 31 Sandringham Rd, Kingsland
North Shore pickup on request to driver / leader - 8.15am Des Swan Drive opposite AON building
Cost: $15 members, $20 non-members Pay in cash on the day.
