Meet at Taumanu Reserve, Onehunga Lagoon and hike the shared pathway along the Manukau Coast to emerge at Hugo Johnston Drive. A quick viewing of one of Auckland’s Light Industrial Parks follows as we make out way to Great South Rd. Cross this to access Mutukaroa Regional Park (aka Hamlins Hill). Lunch with a view, then explore the sprawling open summit area followed by the bush tracks. Leave the park by dropping down through the regenerating bush to reach the shared pathway that takes us to Sylvia Park and its transport hub (refreshment stop?).
