Ti Point to Goat Island

Payment: Please pay in cash on the day if you can – it saves our Club volunteers work. If you forget, don’t worry, we’ll give you the details for an electronic payment.
Return times: Normally 5-7pm, but 6-8pm for trips advertised as “late finish”. However, any trip can be delayed through injury, traffic etc. It’s best not to plan anything for the early evening.

DetailsFollow beaches and a variety of coastal tracks with great views of the Hauraki Gulf, including to Omaha, Te Hauturu / Little Barrier Island, Leigh Harbour, and the Hen and Chicken Islands MediumFrom Ti Point Road, along track and beach to Mathesons Bay, along beach to Leigh, Mt Pleasant Dr to Clifftop track, to Goat Island and bus, 17 kms duration, but little climbing. Time 4 - 5 hrs. Swim a possibility somewhere along the way. NOTE:The full trip involves a good amount of rough rock scrambling. In addition, as a result of the recent storms there is a bit of damage along the route. Diversions required include crossing slippery rocks and mudflats.
